The CSIA Atlantic Board has had a busy summer. We completed a strategic planning process that will inform and guide our direction for the coming season and beyond. The focus of the session was to give our board some goalposts to work toward, to better serve the members in Atlantic Canada. Our takeaways from the session were a need to be more effective in our communication strategies and to be as transparent as possible with our members.
We are working on being proactive with the scheduling of CSIA events in our region. One win was getting our dates firmed up for our CSIA Atlantic AGM and Conference. We’ll be returning to Mont-Sainte-Anne, December 6-9, 2024, for our conference. One goal we’ve set is engage more with newer CSIA members and increase their participation in events.
We are also working on a summary of the strategic plan that will be presented at the Atlantic Ski Resort Association AGM in late October. Maintaining a solid working relationship with each of the Atlantic ski areas is a high priority and working with the management and sport school directors at the ski areas is key to ensuring we’re continuing to meet the operational needs of the areas.
The CSIA Atlantic Board will also be seeking nominations for some open board positions. More on that to come as we get closer to our AGM.
We’re all excited about the 2024-2025 season and look forward to sharing the stoke with CSIA members in our region.
